AIFIS-Luce Small Grants for Public Events

This fellowship program is made possible with the generous support of the Henry Luce Foundation.

The American Institute for Indonesian Studies (AIFIS) invites applications from artists, performers, and other creative scholars who are actively working to bring Indonesian arts and culture to American audiences. The AIFIS-Luce Small Grants Program will provide competitive grants for public-facing events designed to broaden popular understandings of Indonesia among U.S. audiences. Grants awarded will range from US$500 to US-$2500 per proposal and be reviewed on a quarterly basis by a special committee of AIFIS Board Members. This fellowship program is made possible with the generous support from the Henry Luce Foundation, and will support a total of $20,000 worth of small grants for public events over the course of 2023-2024. —> Learn more
