Desi Adhariani, PhD, is a lecturer and researcher in the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia, and a recent AIFIS Fellow. Dr. Adhariani used her AIFIS Fellowship grant to do a collaborative research work at New York University, looking at agricultural practice and sustainability. While working at NYU, she collected and analyzed data on various investment projects in food security in the US, UK, and Canada presented in online mass media. She plans on conducting a comparative study in Indonesia and then providing suggestions for investment opportunities to tackle food insecurity in several areas in Indonesia.
